PRAISE THE LORD

“Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.”
Psalm 146:1 (KJV)
Main Text:

Living a life of praise is not only the most enjoyable way to live, it’s one of the most powerful ways to change your life. Faith isn’t complete without praise; Col 2:7 “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” Praise affects you, it touches everything and every part of your life.

Phil 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” We are always supposed to be rejoicing in the Lord. It’s a command not a suggestion to do it when we feel like it. When Apostle Paul was beaten and thrown into prison, he didn’t whine about how life has been so hard on him, he chose to praise the Lord. Acts 16:25 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”

Most times, we may not feel joyful but the scripture tells us that we have the fruit of the Spirit- joy! If we have the Holy Ghost, we have joy. We may not feel that joy, but we can choose to lift our hands and speak forth praises to God by faith.

Confession: I praise the Lord for He has been good towards me, I forget not his benefits, He is my good shepherd, I praise His name. I want nothing good! I enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Praise the Lord!
