AS A MAN THINKS

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
Main Text:

You are the sum total of your thoughts. Just as it was important for Joshua to govern his thoughts by the Word of God (Joshua 1:8), it’s highly imperative for you to meditate daily on God’s Word. You should allow it to fill your mind before anything else.

All things are possible to those who believe (Mark 9:23), but without knowledge of the Word, you don’t have the correct truth to believe. As you follow God’s specific instructions and fill your thoughts with those things the Bible tells you to do, you will discover that the world will begin to unfold before you with an array of possibilities and reflect back what you choose to focus upon.

How do you renew your mind? Through knowledge of the truth regarding who you are in Christ. If you were to build your life like a house of faith, the knowledge of the Word of God will be the foundation, while the knowledge of who you are in Christ would be its frame. If you do not take control of your inner thoughts, you will become a slave to outer circumstances.

Confession

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he; therefore, all of my thoughts are positive. I do not allow Satan to use my spirit as a garbage dump by meditating on negative things that he offers me.
