WHY BELIEVE?

Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
John 11:40 KJV
Main Text:

At times when we hear the scriptures, it almost sounds as if it is easier said than done. When the Word of God is preached on the pulpit, within you, you feel like bursting into tears because God’s Word is just too powerful for you to grab. It feels like the message is directed right at you because of your circumstance or what you are going through. At that point, you feel like giving it all up to Jesus to see you through and take the burden off your shoulder. Now what happens when you leave the church premise and you are all alone at home? What will you do when thoughts of frustrations and despair cloud your thinking? What will you do when you suddenly remember that you have no support from anyone neither do you have anyone you can share your problems with. When you start feeling like no one cares about you and your situation, how do you handle that? When your heart feels like there is a big vacuum within you, what do you do to fill that void in your life?

Listening to the prevailing word of God and allowing it take root in your life is a choice you need to make. Do you choose to believe it or choose not to? Do you choose to have faith in what it says all the time or choose the moments you decide to believe the word of God?

When it seems like there is no way, the only thing that can keep you together is the prevailing Word of God which gives an unending peace of mind. Hebrews 4: 12 says “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Prayer: Thank You Father for sending your Word for my total salvation
