YOU CAN’T BE PROUD
For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
Main Text:
Apostle Paul, while driving the scripture home said: Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? 1 Corinthians 4:7. This is very true of so many people including brethren in the church. You can’t behave as if those blessings in your life aren’t from God. Ha has graciously permitted all that you have received. You can’t take the glory to yourself. You need to be careful in this aspect of your life. The word of the Lord says; pride goes before destruction. You won’t be destroyed in Jesus mighty name. Many ungrateful folks have lost all they ever had to Mr. Pride. When you take the glory and refuse to give it to God, you are simply prematurely digging your own grave. The solution is to humble yourself under the mighty hand of the Lord. You can’t even enjoy your marriage if you are proud because pride will soon make you feel you know it all by speaking rudely. Let God take over your heart.
Pride starts from within and once your heart is attacked by this evil, your whole system and body language will manifest it. You won’t make a good friend as a proud person. You will be living in a class of your own and you will soon be rejected and left alone. Pray it away from your life. Reject pride and arrogance by faith and the Word of God. Be submissive to stipulated authorities and avoid every heart of rebellion. If you desire, true joy in that marriage, take away the proud look and let God be in charge sir and ma! Are your children humble and follow God with their heart? Look inward and act now.
Prayer: I reject every spirit of pride and arrogance planning to take over my affairs in destiny.
