GOD PLEASER OR MAN PLEASER?

“I have come in my Father’s name, and you don’t receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God?” ??
John 5:43-44 (WEB)
Main Text: Colossians 3:22

This is in reference to the fact that Jesus came in the power and authority of His Father to point men to the Father God. Jesus existed before His advent on the earth in the form of God and was equal to God. Yet, He humbled himself while on the earth (Philippians 2:6-8).

Our Lord Jesus didn’t come to promote Himself but to give His life to provide the way to the Father (Jn 14:6). In the same way, the Holy Spirit doesn’t exalt Himself, but points all men unto Jesus. Jesus came to meek, lowly, totally submitted unto and seeking to please the Father.

If we are concerned about what people think in an attempt to gain their honor or approval, we will never take a stand in faith for anything that might be criticized. You cannot be a God pleaser and man pleaser at the same time. Commit your all to Him.

Confession

I choose to follow God’s Word to present my body everyday as a living sacrifice to do His will. I renew my mind daily by the Word of God. I am fit for the Master’s use.
