BE IN CONTROL OF YOUR DAY
“Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place.”
Job 38:12 (KJV)
Main Text: Lamentations 3:20-23 ESV
What does the Bible say about beginning your morning/Day with prayer and with the Lord?
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. – Psalm 143:8 NIV
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
Every moment of everyday, with every thought you think and words you speak, you are making a decision to either move towards greatness or towards obscurity. If you are to become God’s vessel of glory and honor prepared for every good work, you must learn to maximize the potential of your thoughts and words.
You have been given the opportunity to create the masterpiece of your life. Your thoughts represent the colors you use to paint the background; your words are the brushes you use to fill in each detail. To make that painting the beautiful masterpiece that God has planned it to be, you must be clear on what those colors and details should look like. God had a picture in mind when He spoke the world into existence, therefore, you also must have a definite picture of how you want your life to be.
Ephesians 5:16 “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” We are to be intentional with how we order our days and spend our time. Everyone in the universe has been given the same quantity of time. What we do with those 24 hours determine what we will accomplish in our lifetime. It is important that we learn the art of being in control of our days.
Confession: My steps are ordered by the Lord today, therefore, I expect my greatest blessing ever today. I have victory over death and I begin to walk in love. This is my day of jubilee! In Jesus name.
