MANIFEST THE LIGHT
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.â€
Gen 1:1-3 (ESV)
Main Text:
The phrase “in the beginning” in the Hebrew tongue means the dateless past. Therefore, in the dateless past, God created the heavens and the earth. In verse two, we see something very spectacular, the earth lied in waste and was an undistinguishable ruin. God is a God of order and structure and couldn’t have created darkness. Therefore, we wonder, where did darkness come from?
The book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One with His anointing). Jesus said “I am He who is and was and is to come” (Rev. 1:8). This means some part of the book of Revelation is past, present and future. In Rev 12:7-9, we see that there was a war in heaven and the devil lost the battle and was cast into the earth. In Luke 10:17-21, Jesus testifies that He saw Satan fall like lighting. In Isaiah 14:12, the Prophet sees into the dateless past and tells us the reason for the war and how Lucifer was cast into the ground.
The fall of Lucifer brought darkness to the earth, however, when God spoke the Word in verse 3 which in the original Hebrew is “Light Be and Light is” means illumination because four days later the sun was created. This light spoken about is the light that lights all of heaven, this light resides in you, it’s impossible to look at the sun, however the manifestation of light is evident from its excellence, in the same vein, let this light shine in and through you! It expels darkness.
Confession: I am illuminated I am not confused. The Greater One abides in me! I am like a tree planted by the river side bringing forth positive fruits. I am blessed! I am the light of the world; I have the light of God in me!
