RIGHT THINKING

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, and whatever things are pure...if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.
Philippians. 4:8
Main Text:

Thoughts are part of the internal operations of a man that define his soul. Our thoughts are a function of our soul where our emotions, feelings thoughts run.  If you allow a negative thought to linger, it will gain control of your mind and show in your physical life. You will become that thought in your future actions. How then do you handle your thoughts?

Identify what kind of thought it is before you welcome it in: Is it good or bad, destructive or helpful, poisonous or a blessing? Is it in line with the word of God, or against it? Does your spirit agree with it or react against it? If it is positive, welcome it and if it is negative reject and eject it.

How do you welcome a positive thought? Take it in with WORDS of God.

You take thoughts with words;· Put the thought into words and say it to yourself.· Pray the thoughts in, if it’s of God, as you pray it in, it gets established.· Discuss with a Spirit-filled and Holy Ghost-controlled mature believer or your spiritual leader, who you know to have a good relationship with God.·

Ascertain the source of that thought: It could be a nice looking thought coming from Satan. Learn to ascertain where a thought is coming from, so as to know the best way to deal with it.

Check the implication: If you obey the thought coming to your mind, will it make you to become more like Jesus or more like the devil?

Eject negative thoughts. You cancel thoughts with words of God and not with thoughts of what will be will be. If a thought is negative, use God’s word that is contrary to the evil thought and drive out that thought. If that thought comes to you one hundred times, eject it with the declaration of God’s words in multiple times.

Prayer: I refuse negative thoughts to control my mind in Jesus name.
