REDEMPTION THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)
Main Text:
It’s no news how the first Adam fell and lost all that God planned for him. Satan came to Adam’s wife in the form of a serpent and deceived her into disobeying God. Adam followed suit and did what Satan told him to do instead of obeying God. In that instance, Adam made Satan his Lord, he automatically bowed his knee to the devil and turned over the authority God gave him. He made Satan the illegitimate ruler of the earth.
Days passed and years went by, Satan was well equipped to deceive and dominate mankind – everything changed against the original blueprint of God. Adam sinned and in that split second, death was passed unto all men (Rom. 5:12). The earth and everything in it was suddenly cursed and man was separated from God through sin.
The devil thought he had boxed God, he felt he had given God an unfixable task, but God had a plan – REDEMPTION FOR ALL MANKIND! This redemption could not be gotten by the blood of goats or lambs, it required a much greater sacrifice, it required a perfect and pure blood – the blood of His Son – Jesus. You don’t have to earn and pay for what has been provided on the Cross. In fact, you couldn’t earn it even if you tried, the best thing you can do is joyfully accept this free gift.
Confession: I declare in the name of Jesus, I have been redeemed through the blood, I am restored in my relationship with God, I have been brought out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, I am the light of the world, and I am righteous! Praise the Lord!
