PEACE IN THE STORM

“Great peace have those who love your law (word) and nothing causes them to stumble”.
Psalm 119: 165
Main Text:

I was in a meeting with my friend one day and the coordinator was making some illustrations. He tried to establish that it was not possible for anyone to be comfortable. Well I gave the challenge a serious thought within me. I opined, the Bible established the fact that in life we will see tribulation but we should be cheerful for He has conquered the world. Life is really not about the bed of roses but we have our confidence in God such that no matter what, God is always there for us. However, other people in the meeting were following with rapt attention, so I smiled. After the meeting, my friend walked up to me and said; “friend, there is nothing I know of in your life that is not at peace”. Then I replied, “You have said well”. I am not trying to say that there would not be times when we will be in need of help or answers to some questions, else I would be saying that we don’t need God. Because if someone has all he needs to make life, then why does he need God? Christ in me is the One in charge. There is nothing I can do outside Him and even when recently things worked on the contrary, it didn’t change His Lordship over me.

In Psalm 91; 5-6 the Psalmist said he shall not be afraid of the arrows that fly by the day nor the terror that flies by the night nor the destruction that lays ambush for him from the devil because he knows that the LORD his is shield.

Beloved, when attack comes against your health, do you know how to get your victory? When your business gets hit by arrows, do you know how to secure peace? It is all up to you. The word of God has it all. Hebrews 4:12. Get peace!

Prayer:  Father, open the eyes of my heart that I may see the wonders of Your word in Jesus name.
