OBEDIENCE (2)
“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.â€
Job 36:11 (KJV)
Main Text:
One of the major ways to walk in absolute prosperity is by walking in obedience. God promises that if we can obey and serve Him, we will walk in prosperity. This isn’t some far-fetched promise, it’s the real deal.
Our father Abraham, is a proof of the prosperity that follows absolute obedience. God asked him for Isaac, and without fear he was willing to let go of him, He was willing to make an extreme sacrifice. Most times, when God asks us for what we place value on most, it’s not because he needs it, it’s because He wants to see what you are willing to let go of because of Him. He asked for Isaac and at the final minute of that sacrifice, He sent His Lamb (Christ) to die in his stead (Gen 22). God gave you His best and His best redeemed you. It is to your own advantage that you serve and obey Him.
When we grasp an understanding of the blessings of obedience, we find them utterly astounding. Because God’s great love has made a way for us to be reconciled to him and freed from our bondage of sin, and self. Jesus came to earth and lived a life of perfect submission and obedience to the Father’s will, likewise, we must walk in total obedience to God if we want to be decorated with the crown of honor.
Confession: I declare I walk in total obedience to the Word of God, I hear His voice and I hearken to them, I live my days in pleasure and prosperity, I am blessed beyond comprehension!
