HE LISTENS!
“And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.”
1 John 5:14-15 (AMP)

Have you ever been in prayer and suddenly had the disturbing sensation that God wasn’t listening? It happens to all of us. But few of us know what just to do about it. It’s imperative we understand that God will not listen to any doubtful, self-centered thing you say to Him. He won’t! He only promised to listen to prayers that are prayed according to His will.
The word “petition” is defined as a formal, written request addressed to a sovereign superior for a particular right or grace. Faith without a trace of doubt is an important component of prayer. When we go to God believing that He wants to get involved in our lives, unexplainable things can begin happening. It’s natural to fret and worry about a situation that we don’t have an answer to but worry isn’t God’s will for us. Prayer opens the door to the supernatural and allows God to work in our lives.
There’s no reason to feel limited by any situation or issue. Conversation with God have the power to remove all limitations. With prayer, breakthrough is inevitable. God knows plenty things we don’t and asking for His intervention connects us with His limitless knowledge, love and compassion.
Prayer:
Thank You Father for hearing me when I call. Thank You for your outstretched arm, thank You for loving me! I trust in you Father. Hallowed be Your name. Amen.
