EMBRACING THE BEAUTIFUL IDENTITY CHRIST DECLARES FOR YOU
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”
1 John 3:1
Main Text: Main text: 2 Corinthians 5:17
The scripture begins with a compelling directive: "Behold." This powerful word calls us to "see" and understand the depth of the change that occurs when we are in Christ. Similar emphasis is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17, underlining the concept that in Christ, all things become new.
This imperative "see" is reminiscent of the Hebrew word "chazah," used in the Old Testament, suggesting a prophetic vision that goes beyond the natural sight. Christ wants us to see beyond the physical realm, urging us to recognize our strength, health, righteousness, and prosperity through the eyes of the Spirit.
What we perceive matters significantly. The text encourages us to visualize the overwhelming love lavished upon us by God, making us His beloved, as Ephesians 1:6 emphasizes, "...He has made us accepted in the Beloved." This divine acceptance eradicates fear and condemnation from our lives. The Word of God, the True Light, beckons us to see that we are loved, never abandoned, and equipped with His presence to triumphantly navigate life.
Confession:
In gratitude, I declare that I am blessed and prosperous. I walk in sound health, possessing the mind of Christ. I am highly favored of the Lord, the glory of God, with my steps ordered by Him. I am not useless; I am the answer to the cry of my generation! Hallelujah!
