Don’t Let Your Faith Slip
We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away."
Hebrews 2:1 (NIV)
Main Text: Main Text: Hebrews 10:23-39
Something subtle but serious is happening in the Body of Christ—we're letting the truths we once held dear begin to slip away. The message of faith, righteousness, and the power we have in Christ can slowly drift from our daily consciousness if we are not intentional. This warning isn’t just for those who are new to the faith or trapped in religious tradition. It's especially for those of us who know the Word and have experienced the thrill of living by faith.
You can be in the faith for years, confessing scriptures and walking in victory, and still slowly slip into unbelief. And the consequences are real. That’s why Hebrews 4:11 urges us to labour to enter into that rest—not by striving in the flesh, but by holding tightly to the Word of God every single day.
The real labor is staying in the Word, meditating on God’s promises, refusing to let go no matter what your eyes see or your feelings say. The moment you become casual with the Word is the moment you begin to drift. Drifting doesn’t happen all at once—it’s gradual, quiet, and dangerous.
So dig deeper. Reignite your hunger for God’s Word. Stir up your faith afresh. Be intentional about what you hear, how you hear it, and what you do with it. Hold fast the profession of your faith without wavering (Hebrews 10:23).
Don’t let your faith slip. Instead, anchor it even stronger.
Confession:
I am strong in faith, I heed to the Word – I am prosperous in so doing, I am blessed!
