MEN ARE WON BY THE FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING
“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”
1 Cor 1:21
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: Romans 10:14-15
By the manifold and intricate wisdom of God, He has established that the only way for man to be saved from sin is through the preaching of His Word. God did not design salvation to come through giving money, organizing charity events, or taking people on lavish outings. No, the only method ordained for the salvation of souls is through what the world considers foolishness—preaching.
In the eyes of the world, it may seem absurd to proclaim an event that happened over 2,000 years ago as the solution to mankind's greatest problem. Yet, 1 Corinthians 1:21 tells us, “It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” This divine strategy defies human logic but carries the eternal wisdom of God. Reflect on your own salvation journey: you did not accept Jesus Christ until someone preached to you. It was by hearing the Word of God that faith arose in your heart. Romans 10:14 asks, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” Just as someone’s preaching brought you into salvation, so must you take up the mantle to preach and save others.
The gospel message is remarkably simple, as summarized in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” This is the heart of our message—the foundation of our faith.
We must engage in evangelistic efforts with urgency and determination. The world is filled with “dead men walking,” individuals who are spiritually dead and destined for eternal separation from God unless they hear and respond to the gospel. Our mission is clear: preach Christ, lift Him up, and lead men to salvation. There is no other way to bring life to the spiritually dead than by proclaiming the good news. Let us embrace this divine commission with boldness and passion, knowing that preaching is God’s chosen method to save the lost. The time to act is now—souls are waiting to hear the message that will transform their eternity.
Confession:
I declare, as I engage in preaching the gospel, I am blessed and highly favored; my feet are beautifully decorated with the good news of Christ. Hallelujah!

1 Cor 1:23-25 “But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
Rom 10:14-17 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
